Registration for National Drugs and Alcohol Chat Day Is Now Open!
Do the students at your school have questions about drug and alcohol use? Scientists from the National Institutes of Health have answers. Join the National Institute on Drug Abuse for the 12th annual National Drugs and Alcohol Chat Day, a web chat to be held on January 24, 2019, during National Drug and Alcohol Facts Week®, which runs from January 22 to 27, 2019.
National Drugs and Alcohol Chat Day is a unique opportunity for students to ask scientific experts any question they have about drugs, alcohol, and vaping. Students can submit questions about how drugs affect the body, what causes addiction, and other drug-related questions. Our expert scientists provide answers via live online chat. Mental health experts will also be online to answer questions about the link between teen depression, anxiety, and drug use.
Check out the questions and answers from previous National Drugs and Alcohol Chat Day observances.
Only the first 100 schools that register will be able to submit questions, so register today! Even if you’re not registered, schools can observe the chat in real time, and use it as a starting point for discussions on drug use.
